finally
in a blink of an eye
through a deep breath
as the african sun set
right behind the mountains
as i was running
running, running
downhill
trying not to hit that rock bottom faster than ever
i was running
trying not to stumble on
a supposed failure that existed in the shape of my life
i was running
trying not to choke on
everything that got stuck in my throat
and suddenly there it was:
my closure,
the ultimate realization
that you exiled your own self
from all things i would offer you
and that nothing's really on me
as what's done is done,
and who's gone is gone.

i got it,
finally.
all's cleared out now
and from this day on,
everything's just fine.
